Winona’s
Winona’s is my favorite breakfast spot in Steamboat! Every time I visit Steamboat, Winona’s is at the top of the list. It’s a true local’s favorite breakfast restaurant and for good reason. If you haven’t had one of Winona’s cinnamon rolls yet, you must order one the next time you’re in town.
Winona’s in Steamboat has a super convenient location right on Lincoln Avenue in Steamboat Springs. Easy to get to, especially when you’re strolling down Lincoln looking for a place to pop into for a delicious meal.
Winona’s offers fresh breakfast choices that include their own Huevos Rancheros, Winona’s scramble, the Avocado Smasher, or Corned Beef Hash. Winona’s menu will delight you with many savory and sweet options, it will be hard to choose!
Winona’s is one of the best breakfasts in Steamboat Springs.
Creekside Cafe
If you’re looking for the perfectly prepared Eggs Benedict, Creekside Cafe is your next favorite breakfast restaurant in Steamboat! Omelets served with potatoes or grits are also on offer at Creekside Cafe and griddle options are available too.
Pop into Creekside Cafe for a Patterson Barn Burner with bacon and cheddar on a biscuit with potatoes and eggs. Or, how about a Banana Nutella Sandwich? Yes, a toasted croissant with caramelized banana and chocolate hazelnut spread. You earned it on the slopes! I go to Freshies every time I’m in Steamboat, just for the Power Bowls! Acai Bowl with blended Acai berries, almond milk, and homemade granola or a Green Machine with spinach, avocado, matcha, mango, chia, and homemade granola. There are additional healthy breakfast bowls on the menu at Freshies.
Freshies in Steamboat also offer Eggs Benny in traditional style, Florentine Benny, Avocado Smash, or a delicious Skillet! Order a Freshie’s Southwest Skillet, Tomatillo White Cheddar Enchilada with Tomatillo Chorizo sauce, or Huevos Rancheros for a savory delicious breakfast. If eggs are your style, try the Sedona Omelette, Western Omellete, or one of the many egg dishes on offer at Freshies in Steamboat. Freshies is another top spot for breakfast in Steamboat.
The Paramount
When dining at The Paramount in Steamboat, you’ll find a very casual atmosphere with a delightful menu of classic breakfast dishes such as a savory Breakfast Sandwich, Steak and Eggs, Avocado Toast, or a Breakfast Burrito. An amazing specialty served at The Paramount is the Chipotle Salmon with cream cheese, mixed greens, spicy balsamic mustard dressing, and roasted tomatoes.
Or, give a try the Chilaquiles, which are corn chips with green chili, asadero cheese, pico de gallo, and two fried eggs. The Paramount in Steamboat is awesome for lunch, too!

Yampa Valley Kitchen is a quaint, adorable restaurant in downtown Steamboat Springs. If you’re looking for a delicious crepe, either sweet or savory, you’ll find them on the Yampa Valley Kitchen’s menu! Choose from Chocolate Hazelnut Crepe, Lemen Crepe, or a savory crepe of ham, wild mushroom conserva, and gruyere cheese.
Additional creative breakfast entrees offered at Yampa Valley Kitchen are Gravlax on Rye, which is cream cheese, yuzu pickles, pickled onion, capers, radish, dill, and greens on everything spiced rye bread. Or, try a Hall & Oats bowl made with stone oats, almond milk, berries, banana, dried papaya, shaved coconut, maple syrup, and cocoa nibs.
Scrumptious egg dishes are also on offer such as French Omelet, Vegetable Omelet, Reuben Eggs Benedict, and Huevos Rancheros.
If you visit Yampa Valley Kitchen on the weekend, you’ll enjoy the Brunch Menu! The offerings on the brunch menu feature all of the deliciousness on the breakfast menu plus a delicious Bok Choy Salad, YVK Burger, Monte Cristo, and a Vegan Veggie Burger made with chickpeas, mushrooms, hazelnuts with garlic aioli, and pickled onions.
Rex’s American Grill & Bar
Rex’s American Grill & Bar is located inside the Holiday Inn Steamboat Springs and serves up fresh breakfast classics for a simple breakfast. You can choose an egg dish such as Eggs & Bacon or a Denver Omelet with ham and peppers, or a hearty Breakfast Sandwich of scrambled eggs, bacon, and American cheese on toasted sourdough.
Rex’s in Steamboat also has a Loaded Burrito, Burrito Bowl, or Veggie Bowl to start your day! Of course, you can also indulge in Chocolate Waffles, Blueberry Waffles, or sweet French Toast. One of the best, classic spots in Steamboat for breakfast.
Johnny B Good’s Diner
If you’re looking for breakfast served all day in Steamboat, check out Johnny B Good’s Diner. Centrally located on Lincoln Avenue in downtown Steamboat, Johnny B Good’s offers up Buttermilk Biscuits & Sausage Gravy, Corn Beef Hash, and Huevos Verde.
